Missing or low call data in your Google Business Profile report is almost always a reporting delay. Google can take up to 7 business days to process and display recent activity, especially at the end of a month.

The Short Answer

Google does not update your Business Profile report in real time. Call clicks and other activity are processed in the background and can take several days to appear. If the last few days look blank or low, the data is most likely still on its way.

Why Your Recent Data May Be Missing

Reporting Delay

Google collects your data first, then processes and publishes it. For most metrics, expect a delay of 3 to 5 days. At the end of the month, that delay can stretch to 7 business days. Call click data tends to take the longest to finalize.

According to Google's own documentation, search term data updates at the start of each month and can take up to 5 days to appear. Call and interaction data often does not fully populate until the 7th to 10th of the following month.

If you are reviewing your report before then, you will likely see incomplete numbers. This is normal.

End-of-Month Processing

The most common time clients notice missing data is during the first week of a new month. Google runs a larger data aggregation at month-end, which is why the last few days of the previous month are often the last to populate.

Known Google Data Gaps

Google has had multiple documented periods where call data temporarily disappeared across many profiles and was later restored. This has happened in June 2025, October 2025, and other periods. In each case, Google backfilled the data once processing was complete.

Other Common Reasons for Missing Activity Data

Call History and Chat Were Removed by Google As of July 31, 2024, Google permanently removed the call history and chat log features from the Business Profile dashboard. If you are looking for a log of individual calls or past chat conversations, that data is no longer available inside Google Business Profile. This was a feature sunset, not a bug. You will still see the total number of call clicks in your Performance report, but the individual call history is gone.

Your Profile May Not Be Verified Google only shows performance data for verified Business Profiles. If your profile is unverified or was recently flagged for re-verification, your metrics will not appear. Log into your profile and check for any verification prompts or warning banners. Complete the verification process if one is pending.

Recent Profile Edits Can Disrupt Data If you recently changed your phone number, address, business name, or category, Google may take up to 3 days to reprocess your profile. During that time, your performance data can appear incomplete or temporarily unavailable.

Temporary Glitches Google's reporting system occasionally experiences short-term delays or display issues that resolve on their own within a few days. If everything else looks correct, waiting it out is usually the right move.

What You Should Do

  1. Wait 7 business days before drawing conclusions from recent call data

  2. Check the Performance tab directly in your Business Profile and confirm the date range is set correctly

  3. Look at other signals like website traffic and actual incoming calls to your phone

  4. Avoid making unnecessary edits to your profile based on a few days of incomplete data

If more than two weeks have passed and data is still missing, contact your Digital Shift account manager and we will look into it with you.
