Finding Content Published on Your Website

Finding the content we've created for your home service business website doesn't have to be complicated. Whether you're checking up on recent blog posts or looking for new service pages, here are four simple ways to locate all the content we've published for you:

1. Check Your Website's Sitemap

The Fastest Way:

  • Look at the bottom menu or footer of your website - the sitemap link is usually located there

  • You can also directly access it by typing one of these addresses in your web browser:

    • yourbrand.com/location/sitemap

    • yourdomain.com/sitemap

    • Sometimes it might use a hyphen like: yourdomain.com/site-map

Note: We're referring to the HTML version of the sitemap, which is designed for humans to read and navigate. While the sitemap.xml file contains the same information, it's formatted for search engines and isn't user-friendly for most people as it contains technical code.

2. Schedule a Review Call With Our Team

We keep detailed records of all content we create for your website, organized by service period.

During a monthly review call, we can:

  • Show you exactly what content has been published

  • Explain where it appears on your website

  • Answer any questions you might have about the content

This is the preferred option for most of our clients as it gives you a complete overview with professional guidance.

3. Check Your Email Notifications

If you've opted in for content notifications, we send emails when new content is published on your website. These emails include:

  • Information about what was published

  • Where to find it on your website

Most of our clients prefer options 1 or 2, but email notifications can be a helpful supplement.

4. Use an SEO Tool

For a more comprehensive view, you can use an SEO tool like Website Auditor to scan your entire website. This option:

  • Provides a complete list of all live pages on your website

  • Shows how pages are connected

  • Identifies any technical issues

While this is a more technical option, it gives you a thorough overview of all published content. This approach might be helpful if you want to see everything at once or check for specific types of content.

Additional Tips

  • Google Search: Try searching for your business name plus keywords related to your services in Google. This can show you which pages are ranking and accessible to potential customers.

  • Website Navigation: Browse through your website's main menu and service pages. Most of the content we create is linked from these areas for easy customer access.

  • Blog or News Section: If your website has a blog or news section, check there for recent articles and service-related content we've published.

  • Google Search Console: If you have access to Google Search Console, it provides a list of all pages Google has indexed from your website.
