When you request a change to your Digital Shift program, we want you to know exactly what happens next and what emails you'll receive. This guide explains the notification process for program upgrades, downgrades, and cancellations.

What Happens After You Submit a Change Request?

Once we receive your formal request to change your program, our system automatically sends you email notifications to keep you informed every step of the way. These emails confirm your request and let you know when changes will take effect.

Important: Upcoming renewal notification emails are not invoices or charges. They are simply confirmations about your upcoming account changes.

Types of Change Notifications You'll Receive

Plan Change Confirmation Email

After we receive your 30-day change notice, you'll get an automatic email confirming that your program will change on your next renewal date. This email will clearly state:

  • The type of change being made (upgrade, downgrade, or cancellation)

  • The effective date of the change (your next billing cycle)

  • Your current program details

  • What your new program will include (if upgrading or downgrading)

This gives you peace of mind that we've received your request and that everything is scheduled correctly.

Important timing note: If you submit a change request less than 30 days before your next renewal, the change won't take effect until the following renewal cycle. For example, if you submit a request on January 15th and your renewal is February 1st (only 17 days away), your current plan will continue and renew on February 1st, and your requested plan change will start on your next renewal date (March 1st).

Final Notification Email

If you've decided to stop or pause your service completely, you'll receive a final email notification when your account is officially cancelled. This email confirms that your service has ended and provides any important final details about your account.

Can you restart after pausing? Yes! If you want to get your SEO going again, just let us know and we can restart your program. We would do a re-onboarding call to see if anything has changed with your business, service offerings, or service area.

Why We Need 30 Days' Notice

We ask for at least 30 days' notice before you change or stop your service. Think of this notice period as a way to finish strong and switch gears smoothly.

We Work Ahead of Time (Pre-Planned Homework): Our team is already working on your projects, like writing articles for your website (SEO content), planning Google Business Profile posts, and performing outreach for the next month. If you stop service suddenly, that work is already done. The 30 days ensures we can publish what we've completed so you get full value for your money.

SEO Takes Time to Change (Like Turning a Big Ship): You can't just flip a switch to start or stop SEO efforts.

  • Upgrading? We need 30 days to plan and properly start big new projects.

  • Downgrading? We need time to complete existing deliverables.

  • Stopping service? We need that time to safely turn off or wind down our work so we don't accidentally hurt your website's performance on Google.

Finishing Up Properly (Tidying Up Loose Ends): Your account has active tasks (like campaigns, link building, or content drafts). The notice period allows our team to finish these up correctly. We don't want to leave partially incomplete work outstanding that could negatively impact your search rankings or site performance.

Team Scheduling (Booking Our Time): Our specialized team members (SEOs, writers, analysts, content creators) are assigned specific blocks of time to work on your account each month. The 30-day notice helps us manage their schedules efficiently without creating chaos for the rest of our clients.

It's Fair for Everyone (It's in the Terms of Service): This notice period is a standard business requirement outlined in our Terms of Service that you agreed to when you registered for your program. It makes transitions predictable and fair for both you and us.

The 30-day notice protects you by making sure all your paid work is finished and published safely, and it helps us manage the change smoothly!

Billing After Service Ends?

When you stop or pause your service, there will be no further billing for future work. In rare occasions, the only exception is if there are any outstanding prior month service invoices. The service dates will be clearly indicated on the invoice if this is the case.
