Once postcard arrives – log back into account enter PIN number
Message: Ownership Conflict – request access
Fill in the request access form
The current listed owner receives a request
Follow the on-screen process

Steps to claiming or requesting ownership of an already verified Google business listing:

  1. Go to business.google.com/create
  2. Search for the business name by typing the name
  3. Select the correct business
  4. You’ll see a message saying someone else owns this business
  5. Click: Request Access
  6. Click Submit

Select the correct business – DO NOT select create a business with this nameYou will see the following message: "This listing has already been verified by XX…@gmail.com. If you still want to add this listing to your account, you can request access from the current owner. When you click Request Access, the current listed owner receives an email – they can Grant or Reject Request. If the owner ignores the request and you do not receive a response after 7 days, you should contact Google Business Support.

Pro Tip: Requesting ownership from a Google Account (such as Gmail) connected to the websites Google Analytics and, or Google Search Console account can make the transfer process easier when working with Google support because it already shows website ownership.
